Vladimir Shishkov was born in 1964 in Plovdiv. In 1993, he graduated from NATFIZ , Sofia (the Bulgarian National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts "Krustyo Sarafov") in the Animation Directing class with Todor Dinov as art tutor.

Member of ASIFA and CARTOON animators networks, he has won many awards in international animation festivals. He also worked as scene-painter in different projects in theatre and TV.

Recently, he produced of one of the most successful Bulgarian films in recent history, “Seamstresses”, presented at the 15th OEFF.
