Commemorating the 25th anniversary of the twinning of Osaka and Milan, this year also celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Milan master director, Luchino Visconti. At this occasion, we invited Milan born great actress, Adriana Asti, who acted in several of Visconti’s films, as chair person of our 2006 Honorary Committee, who kindly accepted to join during the festival.

Commemoration events will include the special screening of Rocco e i suoi fratelli in the presence of Ms. Asti, as well as screenings of other films of the master and the first film in which Ms. Asti held main female part, Prima della rivoluzione. Don’t miss either Il Documento di Visconti the photo exhibition by Japan most famous photographer Shinoyama Kisshin, which should allow you to look back the Master’s life.
